The purpose of this thread is to inform you that Preston Host has been acquired by Big Brain Host. Earlier this morning, Big Brain Host management and Faris (previous owner ofPreston Host) have agreed upon and finalized the terms of the transaction. Effective immediately Big Brain Host is the parent company of Preston Host.
What does this mean for you?
New ownership. Big Brain Host is owned by Brian Smith and offers shared, reseller, VPS, and Dedicated hosting solutions in addition to all of the products offered by Preston Host. Our goal is to take any and all of your complaints, suggestions, and ideas and make your hosting experience equivalent to those at Big Brain Host. First and foremost we want to let you know nothing will be changing to your services at this junction in time. You will continue to pay the same monthly, quarterly, or annual bills you have been paying and will receive better services. The only functionality we plan on changing is upgrading your infrastructure where we see fit. We are aware of some of the recent outages on the shared network and have decided to upgrade all of you, for free, to a CloudLinux solution which will help minimize the downtime you previously experienced.
We do have a mid-term plan to not only phase out and write off some of the old infrastructure and hardware you are currently on in the coming months and replace it with new technology that is more robust and resource driven. However, we will not do this without your consent and you will have the option to upgrade or continue with your current VPS plan. As of today Big Brain Host plans on operating Preston Host as its own entity. Our management staff continues to look for ways to ease this integration and all customer log ins, accounts, and details will remain the same.
If you are currently experiencing any issues that have not been resolved please contact us immediately with any previous tickets you have opened regarding the issue. The staff at BigBrain Host will begin reviewing and analyzing the tickets to help resolve issues on a more frequent basis.
